Select Deconstruction and Demolition’s mission is to reduce the solid waste stream and change the way the building environment is renewed by salvaging building materials through deconstruction and distributing them for reuse.

We have helped home owners and contractors execute their projects on time and on budget by providing expert demolition and deconstruction services over the last 4 years.
Giving Back
Select Deconstruction and Demolition is proud to partner with The Reuse People of America, Inc. to provide building owners the opportunity to salvage their reusable building materials during deconstruction as a tax-deductible donation. We use 3rd party appraisers to determine the value of the deconstruction donation to maximize the benefit to the homeowner with donations going to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill.
Dixon A. McMahen, Owner
Mr. McMahen collaborates to exceed project expectations, which are on time, in scope, and within budget. He provides astute strategic planning and practical implementation that drives projects from conception to completion.
With more than 25 successful years of combined experience in residential, commercial, and industrial construction, and Project Management, Dixon McMahen sits at the helm of Select Deconstruction & Demolition. He is the force that drives our day-to-day operation and ensures projects are on-time and on-budget.
Mr. McMahan leads and directs all phases of projects, including assets, problems, environmental concerns, land/structure demolition, and remediation from fire, water, and/or storm catastrophic events. He was born and raised in Texas and lives outside of Austin with his wife and son.
Dixon is a graduate of St. Edward’s University, Business Administration/Management; Austin, Texas. University of Houston, Marketing; Houston, Texas. Trinity University, Geology/Marketing; San Antonio, Texas. His training includes, but is not limited to:
- Hazardous Waste Operations/Emergency Response Certification,
HAZWOPER OSHA Worker Safety (40 Hours)
- EPA-AHERA Asbestos Supervisor/Competent Person Certification
- NIOSH 582 Course: Sampling and Evaluation of Airborne Asbestos Dusts
- Conducting Environmental Evaluations; Assessments and Audits (40 Hours)
-OSHA Construction Safety (40 Hours)
